The PDA Management Services Organization (MSO) is a component of an active healthcare ecosystem. PDA members’ interactions in this environment have primarily been focused on credentialing and managed care services. But, under the Flagship Physician Network banner, there is much more going on.
For example, the Flagship population management team is working with a demonstration model to identify, treat, and impact the negatives of chronic disease and the concerns of behavioral issues in the workplace. The client operates a sophisticated manufacturing business that faces the challenging international competition. Worker efficiency and productivity is very important to survive, especially in the world market. The self-funded benefit plan in place with our client has a double-digit premium savings due to the strategic use of pre-new year ancillary services to support on-going population management objectives. That’s truly exciting stuff! Post Script: We are now being enrolled into the Scott & White Health Plan sales team. The previously mentioned introduction meeting was efficient, understandable, and the product is proven. This may be the most ”integrated” healthcare delivery system in our market. The Scott & White system has joined the Baylor System to create an impressive integrated delivery system. This is the same program that has successfully marched through Temple, Killeen, Houston, College Station, Georgetown, Waco, Waxahachie, and now is at the gates of DFW.
For the last few weeks, we here at PDA have enjoyed the luxury of having Cynthia Izaguirre serve as our extern as she completes here Medical Office Assistant curriculum through PCI.
